Welcome to the Mobile Academy, the opportunity for organizations to save money when having multiple people receive training in the field of Cross-connection Control.

Water Agencies and other organizations may have multiple individuals in need of certification, contact hours, or refresher training. It can be costly to send numerous people to a school that is miles away.

The Mobile Academy has been established to bring the Able Backflow Academy to the customer. It is possible to bring all of the accoutrements of the classroom and wet lab to a customer who will provide the training facilities, including an appropriate place for the wet lab. The Mobile Academy’s Wells Cargo trailer has a generator, pumps and tanks when those are needed to augment a facility’s water supply to ensure that the appropriate number of test stands can be used.

The Mobile Academy requires a minimum of 5 paid participants. An organization can augment their own participants with individuals from the community. If there are fewer than 5 participants, the Academy will invoice the organization as though there were at least 5 participants. In some cases, it may be possible for extra, unpaid participants to attend the training. These individuals will not receive certificates of completion for 40-hour courses, nor will they receive certificates of contact hours. Unpaid participants will not receive any course materials. Unpaid participants will only be accepted in the classroom if prior arrangements have been made. Unpaid participants must be members of the organization sponsoring the Mobile Academy’s classes.

The Mobile Academy charges expenses when there are fewer than 10 participants or when the distance to the organization’s facilities exceeds 50 miles. These expenses will be agreed upon prior to the acceptance of the contract or purchase order.
